Circa 1920s Spalding Dundee Irons

This four-club matching short set of irons was made by the A.G. Spalding and Bros. Co., Chicopee, MA, in the mid 1920s and has been fully refurbished for hickory golf play. The Dundee line was one of Spalding’s more affordable line of clubs targeted toward beginner golfers. With that in mind, this refurbished short set will make a perfect beginner’s set of irons for someone interested in playing hickory golf with authentic clubs that have optimal swing weight for play.

Included in this short set:

  • Midiron (25 degrees of loft, D5 swing weight, 38-3/4” playing length)

  • Mashie (35*, D3, 38-1/4”)

  • Niblick (51*, E3, 36-1/4”)

  • Putter (9*, D1, 35”)

Refurbishment includes surface rust removal, resetting of the head with epoxy, repinning with 1/8"-inch brass rod, wood shaft reconditioning, a new leather grip (rough side out), and fresh whipping thread where necessary.
